Intentional People ©
We unknowingly label the people who cross our paths each day. The labels include prospects, employees, customers and vendors. We need to focus on the fact that they are people. People with a life story that continues to be written with each interaction. Each person has goals, concerns, hobbies and commitments.
Unfortunately, there is a tendency to interact with people on a regular basis without taking the time to really know them.
The Intentional People process is a quick assessment of current knowledge regarding the people in your life and an ongoing process for increasing in “people knowledge”.
Leaders need to know…really know…the people they are leading. Vendors need to know…really know…the people they are serving. It is time to be intentional regarding the people in our lives.
If asked, the majority of us would say people are by far the most treasured part of our lives. (Some pets may come in as a close second.) At the same time, the depth of knowledge regarding the people in our lives is shallow.
The Intentional People process allows you to be intentional in your interactions and make better organizational decisions based on your knowledge of the people involved.
